Jazz It Up! Free Salsa Lesson Hour on MOCA Plaza

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, “Jazz it Up” with MOCA.

At 7 p.m., participants will learn salsa steps with W.S.F. Salsa champion Alfonso Caldera and Jessica Shatzko in collaboration with Fluxus Haus Inc. and Bravo Dance Company.

The class includes warm-up, technique, and a thirty-minute partnering choreography session that participants can perform during the JAZZ at MOCA concert. Guests are encouraged to come early to secure their spot and learn some moves.

At 8 p.m. after the dance session, stay on the plaza for JAZZ at MOCA featuring Dante Vargas. Dante Vargas was born in Peru in the city of Trujillo, where he started to explore the infinite world of music as a trumpet player. He has worked with world-renowned artists such as: Fruko y sus Tesos, La Sonora Dinamita, El Grupo Gale, Los Titanes, Grupo Niche, El Combo De Las Estrellas, El Tropicombo and many more.
